nas logoNew African Soccer launches a ‘let’s tell the story together’ photo competition.

The story of Nigerian football in the last couple of years has been eventful. From the appointment of Sunday Oliseh as Nigerian coach, to a failure to qualify for a second Africa Cup of Nations in a row.....leading to the appointment of Gernot Rohr as manager in August 2016.

Since then, the fortunes of the country have taken a turn for the better....almost unrecognisable as every member of the football fraternity pulled together to get this far - qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in spectacular fashion.

A new dawn is breaking in Nigerian football and there is a story behind it, and perhaps more to come.

New African Soccer will be telling the story of Nigeria’s journey to Russia, right from the very beginning.

And we are offering an opportunity for journalists and photo personnel to win the prize of coming to Russia to experience the World Cup next summer.

We will be telling the story of Nigeria to Russia in many ways - reports of what happened in matches, interviews and sound bytes with principal actors in the story. But we also want to tell pictorial stories. And every contribution is welcome.

To enter, anyone who has a story to tell should send it to us. If you have a picture that can tell the story of any stage of the qualification journey - be it an action picture from the matches, interviews, emotions or even the ambience of the fans of Nigeria in and out of the stadiums, all will count to making our package a good one.

If you have an article that befits the event, send it through.

It is not restricted to professional journalists alone. Aspiring journalists, fans who take photography and writing as a pastime are also welcome.

Register your interest on www.newafricansoccer.net, or follow and message our twitter page (@NASmagazine) with your contact details and we will send you guidelines.

Five star prizes will be awarded - which will be an all-expenses paid trip to watch at least 2 matches involving Nigeria in the World Cup in Russia.

Other prizes are signed shirts of the World Cup bound Super Eagles and other small consolation prizes.

Articles and videos as well as photos used in our final production will also be paid for if published.
